Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark

Coming of Age (COA)
Special time: 10:00-11:15 a.m.

Nearly every human culture imagines life as a journey, full of adventure and adversity, discovery and growth. Young people the world over engage in some process of coming-into-their-own in the passage between childhood and inclusion as young adults in the larger community. At UUFN, we call that Coming-of-Age.

The Fellowship's Coming-of-Age group explores five areas: religious literacy (basic knowledge of world religions), personal relationships, our Unitarian and Universalist roots, service to others, and personal spirituality.

A highlight of the group's year is a pilgrimage to the greater Boston area to visit the Unitarian Universalist Association headquarters, a variety of historic sites, and a host Unitarian Universalist congregation and its young people.
