Coming-of-Age
Special time: 10:00-11:15 a.m.

Young people the world over engage in some process of coming-into-their-own in the passage between childhood and inclusion as young adults in the larger community. At UUFN, we call that Coming-of-Age.

Our Coming-of-Age group takes a bird's-eye view of some of the world’s major religious traditions (and visits a temple, a mosque, a synagogue, a church, and another UU congregation), leads our congregation in a project to benefit the greater Newark community, explores our Unitarian and Universalist roots, and develops their personal spirituality.

A highlight of the group's year is a pilgrimage to the greater Boston area to visit the Unitarian Universalist Association headquarters, a variety of historic sites, and a host Unitarian Universalist congregation, including its young people.
