Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark
Green Sanctuary

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark has created the Green Sanctuary Committee,  formed to promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part, and to pursue accreditation as a UUA authorized Green Sanctuary. The Green Sanctuary Committee is an extension of our seventh principle,

Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.

The GSC is animated by the sixth source of UU faith:

Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.

The Green Sanctuary Committee expects to apply for and receive accreditation in 2011.

The current chairperson of the task force is Lois Hoffman.

Meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month at the fellowship at 7:00 PM. Please join us.
