Rent Our Spaces for Your Civil Union

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark is a Welcoming Congregation that advocates and lobbies for LGBT civil rights in Delaware and surrounding states. We are pleased to offer our rental spaces to help you celebrate your civil union ceremony and/or reception.

Raffle: Win A Free Rental!

In celebration of the passage of the historic Delaware ‘Civil Union and Equality’ law, we are offering a raffle of one free facility rental for a civil union ceremony and/or reception and rehearsal (up to $1085 value). Entry in the raffle is free, but our usual rental conditions apply, including a refundable security deposit.

To enter, contact us at raffle@uufn.org with your name, email address, and phone number. The deadline to enter by email is September 15, 2011, or in person at our booth at the Delaware Pride Festival on September 17, 2011. Winner will be chosen by drawing on September 17, 2011 at the Festival. The winning couple will be notified by Monday, September 19th. The free rental can be scheduled between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012, at a mutually convenient date and time.

Our Spaces

All of our rental facilities are air-conditioned and non-smoking. Our parking lot can accommodate 50 cars. On-street parking is also available.

MacKinnon Hall (40’ x 60’, 240 seated or 160 at tables)

This unique space has panoramic views of our lovely gardens and woods, and is flooded with natural light no matter the season. A grand piano is available for your use. Seating is provided on comfortable chairs. The room can accommodate 8 round and up to 16 rectangular tables. A large adjoining fully equipped kitchen with service windows makes this a convenient venue if you are serving a meal. Outside catering is allowed. A pull-down projection screen is available at one end of the Hall.

Fellowship Hall (26’ x 42’, 100 seated or 60 at tables)

A more intimate room, this space was our first sanctuary and is surrounded by woods viewed through floor to ceiling windows.

Walden Lounge

For your convenience, we offer a private room that features a sitting area, full length mirror and plenty of space to prepare for your big day.
